World Mental Health Day: It’s Okay to not be Okay
1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. If you are struggling with your mental health, or if you are worried about someone's mental wellbeing, there are many invaluable organisations you can reach out to for support.
You can reach out to your GP, contact the NHS directly, or reach out to any number of free services from organisations such as the Samaritans.
Don't suffer in silence; explore your options, understand your problems better, or just start with simply speaking to someone.
It doesn't matter who you are, how you feel, or what has happened: if you feel that things are getting to you, reach out and get in touch.
Whatever you're going through, you always have support. There are a number of agencies you can call at any time:
- Samaritans – 116 123
- Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) for men - 0800 58 58 58
- Papyrus (for people under 35) - 0800 068 41 41
- Childline (for children and young people under 19) - 0800 1111
- Mind – 0300 123 3393
