SecuriGroup Supports Colleagues Through Mental Health Training
Skills Development Scotland recently published new information surrounding the mental health of apprentices across the organisation, with feedback from monitoring visits raising awareness of conditions such as stress, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed or low mood.
With the pandemic taking a large amount of blame for the impact on young people's mental health of late, it is sadly likely to increase as the cost of living crisis intensifies over the coming months.
SecuriGroup takes the health and wellbeing of our colleagues very seriously. We are proud to recruit apprentices and promote the benefits of doing so, and have taken measures to support our colleagues.
As part of our approach to the delivery of apprenticeships, SecuriGroup has been providing Level 2 RQF Mental Health Awareness training to our apprentices. It is our aim to ensure all apprentices undertake this qualification, and so far, 60% of our intake have successfully completed this qualification.
This course further emphasises our commitment to mental health support at work, with 22 other staff already acting as mental health champions.
We want to do all that we can to support this, and be at the forefront of change and awareness around mental health in the industry, constantly reminding our people that they are never alone.
